We are now busy scheduling Reach-4-The-Top Training Camps for the RS:X Class. The plan goes like this.
We plan to support the ISAF Sailing World Cup Regattas. This includes Palma, Hyeres and Spa. Then switch our attention to Sopot and the RS:X Open Youth European Championships [June 24th - July 2nd] and the RS:X European Championships [July 1st - 10th]
The Open Youth Europeans are conveniently scheduled to take place just before the Volvo Youth ISAF World Championships which kick off in Istanbul [TUR] on July 8th. The RS:X OYEC is therefore your last chance to get some serious pre-regatta training in with one of our top coaches before he casts an experienced eye over your last warm up championships before the big one in Turkey.

From experience, most sailors book their own accomodation and transport to and from the venues but we would be happy to help you with this too if you so wish. Basically, you join our coach at your chosen venue 5 days before the first day of registration to do 2 training sessions per day and nightly video de-briefs in the evening. Then you may take 2 days out during regatta set up and registration before going back on the water to race with our coach in support.
Costs last year worked out at €uro 70 per head per day excluding coach boat, fuel, your accommodation and your food. Considering you are being coached by one of the top Olympic windsurfing coaches who has already taken one racer to the gold medal at the RS:X World Championships, this fee is very very good value.You would be paying a minimum of 500% more, if you booked him independently.

The purpose of the Reach-4-The-Top Training Camps is to ensure that the best coaching coaching money can buy is available to you at the smallest possible price. Joining an international RS:X Training squad allows racers to train within a group. You can measure you speed on all points of sail against a mixed group of known performers. You can see how their technique matches or is different from your own. You can get one-2-one feedback on your own performance; identify the areas that you must do more work on and leverage other peoples knowledge to take your racing to the next level.
