Limasol, Cyprus

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Its 9,251 square kilometers encompass citrus and olive groves, pine forested mountains, and some of Europe's cleanest beaches. Also the easternmost island in the Mediterranean Sea, Cyprus is approximately 105 kilometres west of Syria, 75 kilometres south of Turkey and 380 kilometres north of Egypt.
Limassol is the second-largest city of Cyprus, with a population of 161,000 (2001 census), the largest city in geographical size, and the biggest municipality of the island. The city is located on Akrotiri Bay, on the island's southern coast and it is the capital of Limassol District.
