2010 RS:X World Windsurfing Championships: Gear transfer from Weymouth to Kerteminde

bluewaterPlease note that the LOA of the 2010 RS:X World Windsurfing Championships is offering a special price for the transportation of RS:X equipment from Weymouth (Sail for Gold) to Kerteminde (Worlds). Here are some facts re the transport from Weymouth to Kerteminde.

There will be a  2 person team in place on the quay of Weymouth Friday 13th and Saturday 14th of August 2010 to look after RS:X boards and  rig bags. To secure safe transport to Kerteminde,  the LOA has  arranged for a Danish accompanied trailer to be on site in Weymouth as of Friday midday - and stay until Saturday evening to ensure everything is looked after and loaded proberly in the truck. Saturday night the trailer will drive directly from Weymouth to Kerteminde and be there first thing Tuesday 17th August.

Delta Lloyd Regatta: Day One - 6 Races in a Shifty Chilly Breeze

deltalloydThe Delta Lloyd Regatta, the fifth event in the 2009-2010 ISAF Sailing World Cup series, started today in Medemblik, The Netherlands, in a shifty breeze in the teens and chilly conditions with the RS:X Women and RS:X Men completing 3 races each.

Blanca Manchon [ESP} and Marina Alabau [ESP] traded places in the first two races to dominate the RS:X women's fleet overall and then went on to take first and second places in the third to end the day in those positions on the leaderboard. It's good to see the Spanish Dream Team still firing on all cylinders!

Thirty Olympic Medallists Ready For Delta Lloyd Regatta

deltalloydMedemblik, Netherlands: Thirty Olympic medallists are ready for the Delta Lloyd Regatta 2010. This 5th event in the ISAF Sailing World Cup has attracted a very talented field with numerous World Champions. The 2010 edition has set record high pre-entries in all classes including the 2.4, with a total of 707 boats from 53 countries. As usual, the largest fleets are in the Laser, RS:X men and 470 men. Racing will start on Wednesday May 26th and will conclude with the Medal race on Sunday May 30th.
