The ISAF Sailing World Cup was launched in November 2008 and includes the following events

• Sail Melbourne - The Asian Pacific Regatta (December)
  
• The Miami Olympic Classes Regatta - Miami, USA (January)
• Trofeo SAR Princess Sofia MAPFRE - Palma, Spain (April)
• Semaine Olympique Francaise - Hyeres, France (April)
• Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik, Holland (May)
• Kieler Woche - Kiel, Germany (June)
• Skandia Sail for Gold - Weymouth, UK - September

Only the top 20 in each regatta score points towards the ISAF World Cup Standings with the regatta winner scoring 20 points, 2nd place scores 19 points and so on down to place 20 which scores One point.

Points from all World Cup Regattas count. No discards are allowed. To do well athletes are therefore encouraged to race in every World Cup Event.
