Location: The Spencer on Byron Hotel is conveniently located only 8 kilometres (5
miles) from Auckland’s central business district in the seaside suburb of Takapuna
Beach on Auckland’s North Shore. The hotel is just 40 minutes drive from Auckland
International Airport, and only minutes walk from Takapuna’s shops, cafes,
restaurants and beaches.

Accommodation: 249 well appointed and spacious guest rooms, ranging from
studio rooms to one and two bedroom apartments. All rooms feature en suite
bathroom, satellite TV, IDD phone, broadband data ports, tea/coffee facilities, mini
bar, iron/ironing board and air conditioning. The hotel also features 17 mobility-
impaired rooms. The views of Auckland landmarks are simply stunning and a focal
point of every room in the hotel including dramatic city, harbour, Rangitoto Island
and the Hauraki Gulf scenes.

Facilities: The hotel offers a range of amenities including 24-hour reception,
heated swimming pool, spa, gymnasium, tennis court, petanque court, pay-per-
view movies and secure parking. Services include 24-hour room service, laundry,

Dining: The Dining Room features contemporary modern cuisine with a hint of
Asian influence and an emphasis on the best quality produce, served in a relaxed,

Racquet Bar on the first floor is available for informal cocktails and drinks from
6.30am till late every day. The Library Bar provides a great place to rendezvous
with friends or just relax with a book from the library.

Meetings & Conferences: Nine meeting rooms with over 682 square metres,
able to accommodate groups from 5 to 500. An ideal venue for weddings, formal
dinner parties, business conferences and meetings, with the latest audio visual,
lighting, sound systems and catering equipment available in a fully air-conditioned
environment. NEW – The Penthouse Boardroom located on the 20th floor of the
hotel.

-Shore Shuttle details and bookings

For transport from Auckland International Airport to the North Shore (Takapuna area) the cost is $50 for one, and $10 for each additional passenger. 
To go back from the North Shore to the Airport is $45 for one and $10 for each additional passenger. 
Bookings need to be made at least 24 hours in advance, and prepayment by credit card is required for trips from the airport to the North Shore. 

Any additional luggage (like sails) will need to be mentioned with the booking so this can be accommodated. 

Refer to the “Meet & Greet” Map which shows passengers where to meet. 
All passengers are to meet at the rear of the arrivals hall, at the blue dais near exit door 9.
