The 2007 RS:X Youth World Championship and International Under 21 Championship will be held from 27th July to 5th August 2007 in Sopot,
Poland.
ORGANISER
2.1 The Local Organising Authority (LOA) for the Championships will be the Sopot Sailing Club who will work in co-operation with the Polish Yachting
Association under specified conditions laid down by the International RS:X Class Association in co-operation with International Sailing Federation (ISAF).
RULES
3.1. This is an ISAF sanctioned event governed by:
3.2 The International RS:X Class is classified as a Category C class as set out in ISAF Regulations 20 Advertising Code.
3.3 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will prevail.
ELIGIBILITY AND DISCIPLINE
4.1 Entries shall comply with ISAF Regulation 19 – Eligibility Code, possess valid third party liability insurance (for 1 million Euro) and shall have been
issued an ISAF Sailor Number.
4.2 Entries for Divisions (A) and (B) shall be under the age of 19 years on 31 December 2007 (born after 31 December 1988). Each national authority
(MNA) or Class Association (NCA) is responsible to ensure that its competitors comply with this requirement.
4.3 Entries for Divisions (C) and (D) shall be under the age of 21 years on 31 December 2007 (born after 1986). Each national authority (MNA) or Class
Association (NCA) is responsible for ensuring that its entries comply with this requirement.
4.4 Coaches shall be members of the ICSA. They are required to register and pay an entry fee as are other team support personnel.
4.5 Those eligible including coaches and team support personnel may enter through their MNA or NCA which is required to be in good standing with
International RS:X Class Association. Entries shall be made and paid no later than 15 June 2007 through the Championship website at
http://www.rsxclass.com/youthworlds.html Late entries shall be approved by the International RS:X Association and may be so under special
circumstances as determined by the Class.
4.6 For those racing, the entry fee shall be 120 Euros or 160 Euro for late entries. For those coaching (ICSA members), the entry fee shall be 40 Euro
or 50 Euro if late. Other team support personnel shall pay 50 Euro or Euro 60 if late.
4.7. Entries shall print the entry forms attached and present them during on site registration duly completed.
4.8 Entries intending to race shall be members of a National RS:X National Class Association (NCA) or of RS:X International. NCAs shall be in good
standing.
4.9 Class membership formalities can be completed on site.
CLASSES AND DIVISIONS
5.1. RS:X Youth World Championship
5.1.1. The Championship shall be a single discipline event in Divisions A (Youth Men) & B (Youth Women)
5.2 RS:X International Under 21 Championship
5.2.1 The Championship shall be a single discipline event for Divisions C (Men) & D (Women).
5.3 Men and Women shall race separately, each in a maximum 11 races series over 7 days which shall include one reserve day, which may be used for
racing.

13.3 The Medal Race (as per the schedule) will be umpired.
13.4 Race scores for the Medal Race will be doubled (i.e. 2 points for first, 4 points for second and so on; DNS, DNF, DSQ etc will be scored 22 points).
13.5 A board’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
16.1 Competitors may be required to display Event sponsor’s name(s) / logo (s) of a maximum dimension of 300mm x 1000mm (See SCSI Art #7.2a)
16.2 Competitors shall comply with SCSI Article #7.
16.3 Competitors not carrying ISAF Category C Advertising of a minimum of 6,000 sq. cm as specified in RRS Section ll, Appendix 1 – Advertising, shall carry
in addition, respective national flags on their sails in an area of a minimum size 6,000 sq. cm. The national flags design shall be made of self-adhesive material
and shall be worn immediately above batten number 5.
16.4 Boards may be required to carry sound equipment or positioning equipment as specified by the Organizing Authority (LOA).
17.1 Competitors take part in the Championship entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. The Local organizing authority, the International
RS:X Class Association and their sponsors or their representatives will not accept any liability for material or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction
with or prior to, during, or after the Championship.

20.3 Competitors, coaches and team support personnel shall complete on-site registration at the race office from 0900hrs on 27 July 2007 to 1200hrs on
29 July 2007. Competitors not registered within this time will not be entered in the Championship.
