The decision made in the 2012 November ISAF Conference to reverse the decision on the RSX Class’ Olympic status has been well received and the Class is grateful for the tremendous amount of support across the board, and from Neil Pryde, that has made this possible. Many parties have worked relentlessly behind the scenes to towards this goal. Unfortunately it has also virtually stopped any development in the Class since May, and the Class is now getting back on track for another Olympic campaign. A lot of work remains to be dealt with in the coming months.

Class secretary Rory Ramsden resigned 31st of October 2012, and his expert input and tremendous amount of energy will be sorely missed. The Class would like to extend his gratitude to Rory for his work in making the RSX Class to what it is today.

Anna Graczyk-Stankiewicz has with immediate effect been appointed by the Executive Committee as the RS:X Class Secretary until the 2013 AGM. Anna is well known to most of you as the Assistant RS:X Class secretary in the last few years.

The organization of the 2013 World Championships in Buzios is well underway, please regularly check the RSX Class website for any updates.

We would also like to thank everyone for their patience in the last month. Many of you have asked for information, few have had replies. There was simply too much to be dealt with in too short a time, and this will remain the same for a while. Please direct any correspondence regarding Class issues to Ania first and please be patient if you do not get an immediate reply.

We are looking forward to see you all in Buzios in 2013!

Wishing you and all your family a great Christmas and a very happy New Year.

Best Regards

Mike Dempsey
